What is a Hub Drain?
FoodSafe Hub Drains are specialized drains made to provide drainage for equipment whose drainage outlets require an air gap before draining into the main wastewater system. Hub Drains have a distinctive bell shaped curve due to the reducer coupling that connects the inlet and the outlet. They are installed with a rim that protrudes above the level of the surrounding surface to facilitate drainage while preventing overflow.

Standard and Custom Sizes Available
Our Hub Drains can be customized to meet your needs. They are available in a variety of standard sizes, that can be found under the technical information section of this page. These sizes come in standard heights but heights can be customized to suit your needs. We also offer custom fabricated funnel drains for projects requiring larger inlets.

Add a Removable Cover and Strainer Basket
Available with a removable cover as well as a strainer basket. Add one or both of these optional items to your hub drain to protect your facility’s underground plumbing system. The removable lid and specially designed strainer basket allow you to easily access and clear any solids that have entered the drain before they enter your main plumbing system. This means no downtime caused by clogged drains.

FoodSafe No-Niche Design
Our designs are fully compliant with NSF/ANSI/3-A standards. This means a smooth drain interior with fully radius edges – no sharp corners which could harbor bacterial growth. Our Hub Drain is designed to handle the highest temperatures your facility can throw at it, and is easily accessible for a simple and speedy cleaning process.
